Plantation day
Rai Foundation has celebrated its first plantation day taking a pledge of planting 1000 trees. Campus head Ms. Rinchen Dolma took an initiative to control pollution and give a sense of environmental responsibility to all the students in the campus. The plantation program was inaugurated by a prominent social worker and founder chairman of Nirvana Van Foundation, Alwar Guru Nirvana bodhisattva. Sarpanch of Dhudhariya village Mr. Ashok Kumar also joined the plantation program. While addressing to students Ms. Dolma encouraged students saying “massive deforestation due to growing population and infrastructural development has created a great threat to our mother nature and we all are responsible for it, then why do we expect that someone else will fix this for us. We have to wake up and save our environment”. The chief guest of plantation program gave a lesson of saving our green planet by a simple statement “a sprout can’t break a vessel but a seed can feed whole world”.
