Rai Foundation marks International Women's Day
Rai Foundation & ASSOCHAM came together in support for Women empowerment in an International event on Women's day.

Rai Foundation had organised a walk on the event of International Women's Day with around 600 students of different nationality of the college, from the ASSOCHAM House to Lodhi Garden to mark the international Women's day. The walk was flagged of by the Minister of State for Defence M M Pallam Raju, former Deputy Chairperson of Rajaya Sabha Mrs. Najma Heptullah, Chairperson of National Commission for Women Dr. Girija Vyas, Mrs. Seema Jajodia General Secretary of the Federation for the Welfare of Mentally retarded and well known Fashion Designer Mrs. Ritu Kumar were also present on the occasion. Chairman of Rai Foundation Mr. Vinay Rai gave the welcome speech and introduced the guests. Talking to the students Mr. M M Pallam Raju Minister of State for Defence said that women's have pulled in a very powerful image in every sphere of life. Mrs. Najma Heptullah, former Chairperson of Rajaya Sabha said that the presence of women in politics delineates their power and authority. Women empowerment has been an important issue said Dr. Girija Vyas Chairperson of National Commission for Women, she also spoke about the prominence of women's role in the modern scenario. Rai Foundation has taken another step to provide scholarship to 500 girls in coming academic year.
